Aion...Can it grab the old WoW Players?
I had checked out the NCsoft website a month or two ago and saw that they were working on Aion...an MMORPG where you could fly. The game is close to release and several SL and IMVU players have been in the beta. I was blabbing with Sparkle earlier this evening and she tells me the game has visuals that are excellent.

NCsoft is the same company that makes Lineage I and II, City of Heroes and Guild Wars...so they know how to make great games.

Examiner.com has a great story on Aion here.
Secret of Monkey Island Xbox
I used to play Monkey Island back in the old days of PC gaming. It is a logic based game with lots of humor and piratey goodness. The game actually drives me crazy trying to solve the clues and I use way to many hints...but Gar! it's piratey fun!

Xbox New Interface
In about a week we will have the party mode for Netflix movies on Xbox...yay! And soon after Xbox is adding applications for:
Last.fm
Lots of sites are covering the story. Here is one.
Speaking of twitter, when it first came out I didn't really get the concept. I decided to give it a try with my phone for a week and really enjoy it since you can't waste five hours thinking about what to post...you only have 140 characters...it's like Mini Blogging or cell phone blogging. Do any of you old-schoolers remember a site called Text America? It was like the original cell phone blogging site. Now Twitter is the standard.
Instead of blogging a lot, these days I post to my twitter feed but I should warn you that it is mostly about my casino and online poker adventures as well as sipping the margaritas.

And for those of you who are new to twitter and want to know how to post pics...check out the sister site TwitPic
http://twitpic.com
Twitpic is auto linked to your twitter page when you login and you can email a custom email address your cell pics and they auto twit! Yay!

I have also heard and read tons of mixed reviews about aion online. Looks like it's a promising game. And it is said to be release in NA this September. I think I'll need to read more about this game before I pre-order a copy.

The wings are something that makes the game a bit harder, but in general the idea is good. Personally I prefer to stay on the ground. And actually they got the idea with the wings from Perfect World.
