Mariposa's Margaritas
When it's 100F outside all the time, me and Sanchioni head downtown and sip one or two Cadillac Margaritas, rocks and salt. This was our first time at Mariposa and it was excellent! The drinks were big 24oz beasts, the service was excellent and the food was tasty. Here is there little website.

Virtual Worlds Cost $40M - $80M
Here is a good article on Second Life from the BBC and I like the part where they talk about the development cost of starting a virtual world from scratch...hitting budgets of $40M to $80M. I think those figures are high and sound kind of dot-commy but There and SL and others have needed that much to get off the ground. Here is the story.
I think a great virtual world could be made for a lot less with planning. I am a big believer in not reinventing the wheel...use the Doom3 Engine or use the Worlds platform or cut an MTV deal with There or try and adapt existing gamer software already available in the marketplace.
