Halo3, Quake ET, WoW Gold, and Amazon MP3

Snag_151001
How goes the fun? Hope your summer has been a frisky one. There are so many good gamer stories in the news this week that I felt compelled to toss out a post. I've been playing too much WoW again, and also just purchased an Xbox; and am about to grab the newest Sidekick! More on these stories below.

Halo3
I was a big fan of Halo for the PC when it first came out and spent many a day driving around in the jeep, trying to capture the flag. I was even playing Halo1 demo a few months back since it is still fun. I never got into Halo2 but all this hype about Halo3 made me break-down and order an Xbox. I decided to go full-bore and get the Halo Edition.
Xbox 360 Halo3 Special Edition

I'm looking forward to some fun multi-player action yet again. I haven't owned a 'console' in years since I prefer playing on the PC with WASD and a mouse. I think it's going to feel weird going back to the joystick. I was able to hook the unit up to my surround system last night and the picture looked awesome on the wide-screen. I see that Microsoft wants me to hand over some cash for the privilege to play live. I need to join their gold membership thingy to use that. Check this out...Halo3 sold $170,000,000 in the first 24 hours, shattering all records. Those are crazy numbers. I think I read that the game itself is less than 10 hours play...but the real fun in Halo has always been the multi-player.

Quake Enemy Territory
One day after I get Halo3 from Amazon, the UPS man then drops off the new Quake. I think this is simply horrible timing for Quake. I think they tried to get it done sooner, but to launch a day or two after Halo3 is horrible timing. I have to think sales are going to suffer. These games are almost direct competitors except console vs PC...but gamers like me are even being compelled to get an Xbox just to play. I'm gonna give Quake ET a run since it looks awesome...I just feel bad for them with the timing of their release. Here is the website...and there is a download-able demo!
http://www.enemyterritory.com/

WoW Gold Secrets For Alchemists
I've been playing too much World Of Warcraft lately because I can't get enough of the Auction House. I don't play WoW the way most players do...they are all "raid raid raid". Raiding to me is like work, where the auction house is the entrepreneurial spirit. If you are short on gold, and have alchemy, here are some tips that work for me on my server.

Transmute Arcanite
I forget what level you can get this at...before you had to be level 60 because you had to complete a series of Scholo quests but now the formula is in Gadget I believe. This transmute is generally worth 5g a day. Not huge cash, but solid cash for mid-level players.
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12958

Transmute Primal Earth To Water
This is a sweet transmute in the late level 60s and for early level 70 players. You can only get this recipe if you are reveered with Sporeggar Rep. You can get Sporeggar rep pretty fast if you follow the advice here. This transmute is worth around 15g a day, every day on many servers. If you are a rogue, the fastest way to get this rep is to do stealth bog runs and grab all the sanguine hibiscus. You'll need just under 300 of them which is six to nine hours of grind.
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=22916

Transmute Primal Might
This is not really a money maker until you decide to get Master Of Transmutation. Getting the "master" costs around 400g on most servers or four primal mights. I personally don't like making mights since you only make cash when you proc...but you will proc about 20% of the time I believe or 20% of your total mights will be from procs. Some people avoid having to sell the mights by trading them for mats. I believe that making mights, if you are a master, should be worth 30g a day.
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=23574

Transmute Earthstorm Diamonds
In my opinion, this is where the cash is. You need to be Honored with Cenarion to get this. Without master...It is still worth over 20g a day and with master of transmute you are in the 30g a day range. And if you get a JC to cut your diamond for 5-10g tip, you will make even more selling them as Relentless or Powerful Earthstorm Diamonds.

The New Sidekick LX and Sidekick Slide
I've been a big sidekick fan for the last year. I used my sidekick daily; once the iphone came out, the SK3 was looking old in the tooth. Let me first tell you what sucks on the sidekick, and then I'll tell you what I think rocks. The sidekick is too big. It is like 1990s cell phone big. Is that a sidekick in your pants or are you just happy to see me...big. The camera sucks the turd, and you can't text a pic. All this is about to change with two new models. The new Slide and LX are a month or less away.

The new sidekicks are smaller, especially the one made by Motorola. The screens are now super bright. There is going to be a direct link to post on Myspace and photos can be sent like with other phones. I hope the camera is better. Right now I'm leaning to the slide because of size but I want to check both out. I might even buy both and give the one I don't use to my wife. The main reason to get a sidekick is because you love to text. The sidekick is made for people who are massive text messaging maniacs. They are very easy to type on...very fast to type on, and the thumb trackball makes interface navigation a snap. If you like to text and are in the market for a new phone, check out the new sidekicks and see what you think.

Presidential Hopefuls Move to Second Life
Will the next election be won online? Lots of hopefuls are working their SL magic. Here is the story. You know which presidential is doing very well online? Ron Paul. Ron Paul is king of youtube. I have to admit that I enjoy hearing him speak. It takes a lot of guts to say the king has no clothes...and he says it and he takes heat for it...and he is gaining massive internet fans for it. I really hope he does well. Try a couple 'Ron Paul' searches on YouTube and you will see what all the hoopla is about.

New Web Cam - MS Lifecam
Over the years I've owned five or ten web cams and recently I was in the market for a new one. This time I grabbed a Microsoft LifeCam. I had a QuickCam before this and just got tired of all the garbage software they load on my pc. For $36, I give the MS LifeCam a big thumb-up. It has some flaws but works pretty damn good and does not swamp me with crap software. The drivers are simple and the interface is simple. It works awesome with skype...so so with Yahoo and is supposedly dialed-in to work awesome with the MS instant messenger.

Amazon Finally Spanks Steve Job's MP3 Ass!
I almost forgot one of the best stories from this week! Don't get me wrong...I think ipods are cool, but I've always said that Steve Jobs is hood-winking us into carrying around stupid hardware devices. Last year, one or two web based music sites offered MP3 songs in MP3 format...legally, but the big problem was that they had less popular bands and unknown songs. Then Steve Jobs announced that itunes was doing the same thing...but there was a catch in that it was in Apple format. I hate that! I want to buy MP3 songs, of Top10 artists, and I don't want to have to hack or convert them to play in my car. Amazon did just this...three days ago. Time to pee the panties!
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/163856011

I purchased Fergie - London Bridge and Bowie - Under Pressure...I listened to them on my computer then put them on a nice and tiny memory stick, ran out to my car and put them in my JVC with memory stick reader...and they played! No hacking, no converting, no muss, no fuss. Awesome!!! I do not want to carry around an ipod...I want to carry around 'music' on a tiny memory stick. If you need some tunes...please check out Amazon.

TV Tivo Talk
I have been over-dosing on tivo tv all summer and I want to hook you up with my three favorite gems...shows you probably never heard of that are still pretty fun.

The Pickup Artist
This show rocks! This show is not about "picking up chicks". This show is about self confidence and the art of small talk with strangers. I am totally shy in groups of people, but I learned a bunch of whacky tricks to try in groups now, that will help make me less shy. This show also teaches the psychology of females and how they are attracted to a mate. I am shocked how we all like to be ignored. The more someone teases and ignores us...the more we want them! The same is true with picking up women. Check out this show if you are interested in becoming more outgoing in groups of strangers.
http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/the_pick_up_artist/series.jhtml

The IT Crowd, Season 2
There are very few shows that bring me to tears from laughing so hard...but there is something about the British Show "The IT Crowd" that has be spitting out tequila and howling. You can only see it on YouTube. If you are geeky or in IT, I think you will enjoy this show. In Britain they even say tits and cock on tv!
http://youtube.com/results?search_query=the+IT+crowd

The show was such an internet success that american producers are working on an American version as we speak and you can read more about it on the wiki.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_IT_Crowd

Life Of Ryan
This is a show on MTV about a professional skateboarder named Ryan. Have no fear...the show has almost nothing to do with skateboarding and has everything to do with a boy who just wants to find a girlfriend and is dealing with his parents divorce. This show is awesome and heart warming. You just feel for Ryan and his mother and his brothers. The dad has a new girlfriend and they are both trying a little to hard to "force" things to work. Life of Ryan is an awesome little gem of a reality show.

Machinima Rules For WoW and Halo3
Microsoft and Blizzard laid out some Machinima rules for use in their game engines. Even though the rules are restrictive, I kind of see this as a good thing and the door is open for even more machinima. Here is the story. Here are the Xbox rules.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/developer/rules.htm

And here are the Blizzard rules for machinima in World Of Warcraft

Sunday Sunday Sunday

Snag_113344

Sunday Sunday Sunday
I was bored so doing a fast post and I was tired of looking at the penguin wallpaper post on top. It is back-to-school time which usually means more business for all types of online sites, including virtual worlds. I hit level 70 in World Of Warcraft a couple weeks ago and now spend my time at the auction house...everyone else seems to be raiding so I will quit shortly and wait for the next expansion. I was accepted to Pirates Of The Burning Sea beta and so was Starley and we've teamed up a few times to lay the pirate smack-down. I've been having a love-hate relationship with my new Tivo...I really dig the tivo but it is a pain fighting with the cable companies on getting two cablecards set-up properly. I think I finally have it running correctly...just in time for Survivor China! Hope your virtual businesses are growing again as Fall draws near.

Disney Buys Penguin For $350 Million +

Disney Buys Penguin For $350 Million +
Wow! I pee'd my panties when I read the news a couple of days ago that Disney just bought that kid's virtual world called Club Penguin. CP had been in the press a lot last year with huge growth rates. The deal is something like $350,000,000 cash and about the same about in bonuses if certain target goals can be hit. Here is the website and here is one of the stories. Let's do some of the math....

Club Penguin has 700,000 subscribers paying around $6 a month which is $4,200,000 a month and let's call that $50M a year. I would say then...the buy price of $350M is not that bad at all as a 7 year payback or 14 year if goals are met but remember if the goals are met...the income will be much larger as well. What do these numbers mean for the value of Second Life, IMVU or a Virtual Laguna? Are they worth 7X gross? The numbers are getting big fast and I think this is going to be the start of two to three years of virtual world buyups.

Site's like Barbie and Penguin are easier buyout targets than Second Life; with Second Life you have more legal questions with regards to copyright, sex, and gambling. SL is like a thorny rose, kind of like the profitable adult sites in the dot com buyout era. Who will be the next big buyout target? Who will be doing the buying?

Multiverse Makes The Move
Here is a story from Wagner James Au on Multiverse. Multiverse has been an ongoing project from some ex Netscape execs and every few months I see a story on it. The last few times I tried the alpha or beta...things were on the clunkety clunk side. I am eager to try some of the worlds out again. Multiverse builds commerce tools into the software and makes 10% of everything but anyone can create their own world from tools.

Blizzard Says NO to Real Money Transactions
Drat. I think Blizzard makes some good points here but I would argue...why not just test RMT on a single server or a couple of servers...you and I both know those servers would be the two most popular WoW servers! I would love the ability to buy and sell gold and items freely, for hard US cash. I think we will see a giant MMORPG go to RMT in the next 2 years.

World Of Warcraft Expansion No.2?

World Of Warcraft Expansion No.2?
This weekend in Blizzcon 07! Here is the link and it is just down the road at the Anaheim Convention Center. I kind of wanted to go but was too lazy on snagging a ticket. The big rumors are that WoW Expansion No.2 is coming soon. Blizzard may try and release one expansion per year which seems like a great move. WoW recently started growing again and topped the amazing 9,000,000 player mark.

Rosedale Says SL Will Dwarf Web In 10
Holy carrumba Batman! Philip Rosedale and others made bold predictions recently on the future of virtual worlds. Here is a link to one of the stories covering the Stanford Summit. I'm not sure if I agree or disagree with Rosedale and need to give it some thought. What do we do on the web most often? In my opinion...we read and communicate. I just always think that "text" based communication trumps many other forms of communication in terms of speed and efficiency. Today, many of us who "love" Second Life and IMVU and Virtual Laguna etc...still heavily use instant messaging and cell texting as our main forms of communication. If everyone was like the heavy virtual addicts of today, how would the web be different? I think we all still use websites, shopping carts, email clients, and Instant Messaging, but there would all be a lot more choices in terms of virtual fun. I personally would much rather shop at an amazon than I would walking around virtually since one is much more efficient. If I wanted to shop for pleasure or fun...then virtual is very cool. I think Rosedale is right in his prediction, but I don't see Virtual worlds ever stomping out instant messaging.

Meebo and IMVU are The Fastest Growing IM Clients
Here is a story from CNET on which instant messaging clients are growing the fastest. IMVU is doing great as well as Meebo which is like a web-based all in one chat system which often gets around work firewalls.

Welcome To The Parker and other TV
I had tears in my eyes when Hidden Palms ended on the CW...it was like "The OC" but out in the desert. I am excited to let you know that there is one more Palm Springs show available on tv called "Welcome To The Parker". It is a reality show on Bravo which follows around the staff of this fancy hotel, out here in Palm Springs. There is a room in the hotel that can go for $5,000 a night! Yikes that is pricey. Here is the official website. The first week they had this Ping Pong tournament of old rich guys who really trashed the place...I felt bad for the parker and hope they charged the lads $10k in damages. lol Sexy Andrea is hot hot. If you dig reality tv, give it a try tonight.

The other show I started watching this summer is web-based series that you can rent on amazon and maybe itunes called 'Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple In All The World'...it is hard to describe the show but I would say it is kind of like a lego-man version of a gay southpark. The show has sharp and witty writing. Here is the website.

The Frisky Pirate Vs The Cancer Updates
I have updates on my recent medical adventures; both good and bad news so let's start with the bad...they did find some cancer cells in my leg biopsy, but the good news is that the lymph-node test was negative. This might not sound like great news but it is much better to have cancer cells localized rather than having them swim around all willy-nilly in our lymphatic systems. I go under the knife next Tuesday since they like to remove a little extra tissue as a margin of safety and my doctor also wants to take out a lymph node or two...just to be overly cautious. I'll be in and out on the same day and should be dancing a jig a couple days later. With the type of cancer I have, it's a game of finding cancer sells early and then removing that tissue. I'm pleased with the test results.

Santa Barbara Drawing Class
Last weekend I was up in Santa Barbara attending a drawing class. This was the part 2 of 'Drawing On The Right Side of Your Brain' and the class focused on the skill of sighting (using your hands to scale what you see) as well as shading (learning how to better see lights and darks and midtones). It was fun to hang out with my teacher and old friends and I also made a couple new friends. The class was nice and small...there were only six of us! It was me and the ladies and I think everyone had a good time. We started out with just a styrofoam ball on a table. Next we went to the ball, cube and cone and my damn cone looks like a bottle of Mrs Butterworth syrup haha (not sure what I was thinking). We finished up the first day by sketching a famous drawing of a woman. We did this as preparation for the next day where we would get thrown into the fire...drawing our first live nude model...gulp! On Sunday morning we started out with the classic Wine Bottle and Fruit type drawing. The teacher asked us to bring in a banana for the next day and I think he ended up with twenty of them. Finally we finished with a nude model drawing. Our model was so patient and helpful...normally models sit for 20 minute sessions and she stayed in one spot for an hour! To her, the minutes feel like hours...but to the students...the hour seems like a blink of an eye. That drawing took us about three hours.

I've taken four or five art classes over the years in both 2D and 3D and my very favorite of all the classes is the 'Drawing on The Right Side of the Brain'...if you've ever wanted to learn to draw, or want to draw better, check out these seminars.

The Fastest Growing Virtual World Is?

Snag_102217

The Fastest Growing Virtual World Is?
Scientific American's blog has a great story on the fastest growing virtual world and they say it is not Second Life and it is not World Of Warcraft...it is Barbie Girl! How does 3,000,000 members in two months sound? Sounds like crazy insane growth to me. Here is the story. It's too bad they don't have user created content.

Small Decline of Top Second Life Merchants
Mathieu was showing me the latest SL economy stats and you can see a small subtle decline at the top-end of merchant sales. The people making $2000 to $5000 a month and more than $5000 a month both dipped a little bit in June and I suspect we will see this trend continue until September.

Auto Assault To Close In August
NCsoft has decided to end MMORPG Auto Assault as the numbers were too low. I played the beta of AA and kind of liked it but the numbers were thin even then. I hope NCsoft continues to try brave and interesting titles. Here is the story.

My World Of Warcraft Updates
So I fired up my old WoW account and decided to have fun over the summer, leveling my 60 rogue up to 70. I am happy to say that I am now level 68 and it has been good fun to pick the herbs and stealth around scholo once again. WoW has changed a lot since when I used to play, back in the beginning. Here are some things I find different:

Easier To Level
I would argue that leveling from 60 to 70 has been as easy as leveling from 30 to 40 in the old days. The quests are abundant and reward with big XP. It was much easier for me to grind levels in the past but now it seems almost easier to hammer out the quests. This is partially due to the awesome resources like WoW Head and WoW Wiki. I'm generally leveling every two to three days which feels fast compared to the old slog from 50 to 60 which seemed to take months.

Less Social
In the old days, everyone was shouting "join my guild, join my guild!" and there was constant chatting and banter and people use to team up more and play together...now it is more customary to join up for like five minutes to take on a boss and then say "cya and thanks". The game has gone completely "solo". If you are not in a guild, WoW can be a lonely place and it seems much harder to find a guild these days since so few advertise. Another thing I miss is the ability to join chat channels...you used to be able to "hack" into chat channels of many cities and the auction house...certain patches have blocked this which makes staying connected to all the fun harder.

Gold Farming Thwarted
Blizzard seems to give away more green and blue and purple items. The rewards seem far more abundant these days...I suspect partially to thwart demand for gold farming. I tend to think it is much harder to make money faming than it used to be.

The Pirate Vs The Cancer No. Three
Some of you may remember the post I made a year ago when I discovered I had cancer for the second time. In 1997 I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma on my left calf. Fortunately both times my doctors found cancer tissue on my leg, it was successfully removed and all was well. Last week my surgeon sent me for a follow-up PET scan and sadly it looks like my cancer has returned. We're still not positive at this point and I will know for sure in a week but the radiologist could see that one of my lymph nodes as "hot" as he called it. Normally this should send me into conniption fits but I guess since it is the third time, I'm tired of having fits. LoL. The news is not good if the tests come back positive since it would move me from a stage two, into a stage three classification. This starts to make the math bleak, for those of us who like probability theory...it means a coin-flip for five year survival rates. *long sighs* This is very frustrating and saddening but we are all dealt a hand in life and this is my hand to play. I have a couple of appointments with my radiologist and surgeon later this week...if I get some good news, I will try and post updates.

My New Personal Walking Record
My wife and I like to walk our dogs each morning. We don't walk together since the dogs are too bad and my wife walks way faster than me lol. For a while I've been wondering what it would be like to walk a marathon. I thought to myself "I would not walk it fast...but I would like to see if I could do it." I normally walk a little over five miles a day and once in a while I'll walk twice in a day and do 12 miles. When I first got the bad news on my PET scan, I was depressed and wanted to get my mind off things...I thought that physical pain would trump mental anguish ROFL and so I decided "this is the day to try and walk a marathon". Hehehe. You have to remember that this is Palm Springs so every day in the summer is 100F+ so my idea was kind of dumb but it was an overcast day with lots of clouds and temps were only the high 90s. I used Google map pedometer to see how far my loop around the airport was...it was almost perfectly 7 miles so my plan was to circle the airport 4 times, and go home for snacks in between each loop. My first loop went great and I went home to eat breakfast and tell Sanchy of my marathon plan. She said "you're nuts" but she asked if we could take the dogs on the second loop. I said "sure!" Well dogs and humans are not the same and dogs just can't cool themselves as easily as we can. My dogs had already done 6 miles earlier in the day and the loop was just too much for them...Kandy the dog was ready to pass out on the second mile so we had to find trees and sprinklers to cool her off. Sanya decided to stay with Kandy as I finished that loop with Smiley, then grab the car and go and rescue them...so loop two took a long time with walking and then car-rescue dog saving. lol. I ate lunch and Sanya decided to join me on Loop3. This loop went well and we were wearing giant hats so we would not fry. Sanya and I also wear double water bottle hip belts which are key out here in the desert. Near the end of loop 3, Sanya decided to head home (she had done about 15 miles that day) and I decided not to stop at home but push forward on the last loop.

Loop 4 felt very long. My feet hurt, my knees ached, my hips were sore. I trudged along, ever slower but ever determined. I would call Sancho on my cell phone and chat her up for a few minutes to take my mind off the adventure. It was at least 100F at this point and my water was always as warm as pee. lol Sanya showed up in her car with new ice cold Gatorade and ice cold water at about half way on the last loop and said "you are walking so slow like an old man!" hahaha we both howled but I could see the end was near. She left and I continued trudging homeward. I started the walking at 730am that day...and got home at 530pm that night. I was working on the four loops for about ten hours...a little less than eight hours of true walking and maybe two hours of fiddle-fucking around. hehe. I am happy to say that I walked 27.5 miles in one day. Woot! Since I didn't go home between loop 3 and 4, I lost half a mile. Looking back it was a fun, soul-searching experience.

Mobiky Genius and HD Tivo
I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket so I decided I needed a couple of new gadgets this summer...the HD Tivo and a Mobiky Genius! Sancho wanted me to get a bike so we could bike to the movies here in town and I became fascinated the Mobiky Genius. I bought one from amazon and it really folds into one of the smallest bikes I've ever seen. It's hard to go fast on it but it is a lot of silly fun to ride and you sure do get a lot of stares. It is a great city commuter bike.

Once you've had Tivo, it's hell not to have it. Tivo was one of the first PVR or DVRs and I really like Tivo brand digital video recorders. When we moved out here to our rental, we got cheap cable and no PVR and I can't believe how horrible it is to be forced to watch TV at a specific time and not be able to fast forward through the commercials! hehehe Tivo spoils you so fast. If you don't have a DVR...try one out and you will really dig it.

Drawing Class No.2
I took the Drawing On the Right Side of the Brain Class a few months ago in San Diego and really enjoyed myself...so much so that I have signed up for the second part of the class at the end of July in Santa Barbara. If you've ever wanted to learn to draw, but didn't know how to start...check out Draw Right

Gold Farming Stories
Check out this great story which mentions ItemBay...kind of like an ebay for MMORPG stuff...$35,000,000 a month in transactions...those are big dollars!

Quick Summer Updates

Snag_093455

Quick Summer Updates
I'm sipping the coffee and chewing the Flaming Hot Cheetos and Babydoll keeps poking at me "do a post, do a post!" And so I better do a post. :) Here are some early summer updates on my adventures on and off the internet.

Summer Content Sales Slow
Aye Carrumba! I am in the quick-sand and sinking fast. Sale for my products have dropped in almost half. I've tried gaming classifieds a hundred ways from Sunday and nothing is working for me at this time. I chalk my slide up to two larger factors: the summer and also catering to newer players. With summer comes sunshine and the beach and BBQs, and much less computer time to farm the WoW gold or chase the skirts in SL. Almost all of the retailers I've talked to this month are telling me their sales are either flat or slipping. I also think SL is not getting the same amount of press coverage it was four months ago and press coverage equals free advertising which equates to more new sign-ups. When kids go back to school, things will begin to grow again and peak at the end of the year with the seasonal cycles. We always used to hit this summer slowdown in the internet adult sector as well.

Frisky Pirate In The Eighties
Last month I fedexed all my old paper photographs to a company in Arizona called DigMyPics. The service they offer is picture and slide digitizing. I thought about doing all our pictures at home but it would of taken months and I would of been way cranky. I decided to try DigMyPics and they were awesome. It took maybe three or four weeks from start to finish and you end up with a DVD of all your pictures scanned at high resolution but you can also order a CD of the pictures at a lower, more web friendly resolution. When you get back all your old pictures and start looking at them, you immediately think "what was I thinking, did I really have all those bad hairdos?" hahaha I should do a mini album of all my bad hair. I found one picture that is a favorite...it is the Frisky Pirate, the early years. That is me in the 80s molesting the fair lass "Stella"...her floor and my floor were having some college hootenanny event and sipping the wine. I enjoy my make-shift masking taped patch in that pic. ROFL And not often do the ladies get to see me prancing around in my fine leopard-skin jumpsuit, but I will show it to you just this one time.

How To Email Your T-Mobile Cell Phone
I think you can email almost any cell phone, the hard part is figuring out your cell phone provider's secret email words. I wrote T-Mobile support two days ago to get how to do this trick on my sidekick. If you have T-Mobile and want to send a 160 character or less email to your phone...the format is 17775551212@tmomail.net but change the number at the front to your number.

House Updates In RL
Me and Sanchy sold our house in Upland a few weeks ago...yay! We also decided to cancel the purchase of our new home. Sadly this was a costly mistake, taking almost all of our deposit, but we really did not feel right about the deal and decided it was best to admit our mistake now and move forward. We then debated should we look for another new home to purchase or should we consider renting a home closer to downtown with a pool...we decided to continue our new-found gypsy lifestyle and found a sweet house with a pool, in a nice private area that is close to chips, salsa, and margaritas. We will be moving at the end of July...so much damn moving! We are anxious to feel settled in once we get there. I really enjoy the hot weather here...it is not for everyone since it is pretty dang hot, but the sunshine is addictive.

World Of Warcraft
I could not resist the call of the grinder's gold...and I started my account back up so I could get one of my 60 rogues to 70 over the summer. So far I feel completely lost and completely lonely as all the members of my guild are long gone and it seems the days of the auction house when people used to solicit people to join their guilds is long gone too! I'll have to make a few new friends and get out there and grind away. Back when I used to play, if I was playing alone I simply ignore all quests and grind my lips off to level. This is boring and not much fun but fast lol but these days I seem to enjoy questing more than I used to since the rewards seem a lot better in the 60-70 range so I'm questing away with thottbot open at all times. I wish a new game would appear that has all the fever and excitement that WoW had in the beginning. I think such a game is still 2 or 3 years away as WoW will have to wind down more.

Those are my stories! :)

Blogging Break
I usually hit my blogging burn-out wall at the ten to twelve month mark and I seem to be hitting it now! I can usually tell I'm running out stories when I post less daily adventures and more simple news clips. I hope to zbrush my lips off this summer and maybe play a bunch of WoW, while sipping the tequila. I'm not really sure what I'll end up doing but I'd like to get my house sold, finish Maya classes, sell my lips domain, and play some computer games for fun. If I make more fun video tutorials, I'll post them here.
